Monitoring and Evaluation

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Results and evaluation

Each event organized within the framework of the GMS Business Networks is closely monitored and evaluated. By analyzing the events’ key outcomes in terms of statistics as well as using the results from our surveys and evaluation forms provided to all attendees, we aim to design specifically tailored events for our various audiences throughout the GMS subregion. This systematic process makes our events more relevant, inclusive and evolutive based on the evaluation results.

Our latest event, the 4th Mekong – Republic of Korea Business Forum, was held in Yangon, Myanmar from 30 June to 1 July, 2016 and discussed how to realize investment opportunities in the Mekong region.

EVENT EVALUATION

Reporting on progress and performance of the GMSBN involves two types of evaluations.

Short term evaluation

The short term evaluation will be conducted right after the on-site event. It is focused on the indicators and targeted participants. These are mainly on business matching, business contacts established, plans of action by participating companies, follow up actions etc.

Long term evaluation

This involves follow up during the post event phase on the business progress as recorded during the on-site business matching event. The portal will be used to monitor progress of business development among the participating countries. The results will be used to generate reports for future actions and road map.

BUSINESS MATCHING RESULTS

The business matching onsite activity was successfully conducted on June 30, 2016 at Yangon. (At the event, there were 38 pairs of Korean companies and the Mekong countries.)
